Yale Fan Seen Slugging Random Passer-By In Crown Heights: Cops

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN -- An Ivy League aficionado randomly punched a woman in the head on a Crown Heights street, video released Wednesday night shows.

A crazed man in a Yale jacket leapt at a 27-year-old woman on the corner of Nostrand Avenue and Crown Street on March 9 at 12:10 p.m., police said.

Video shows the man swinging a wide punch at the woman's head than stomping off as she struggles to catch her balance.

The man walked away on Nostrand Avenue and the woman drove herself to Kingsbrook Hospital where she was treated for head pain, police said.

Police said the attack does not appear to have been a hate crime.

The NYPD described the suspect as a man in his early 40s, standing about 5-foot 10-inches tall sporting black facial hair and a navy blue jacket with the word "Yale" written across it.
