The Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL) presents the 10th Annual Queens International Children’s Festival, a free, outdoor celebration of global culture, creativity, and shared experiences for families across New York City. Marking a decade of impact in Southeast Queens, this beloved annual event brings together music and dance traditions from around the world alongside hands-on arts activities designed for children of all ages.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy a dynamic lineup of live performances featuring DJ Barry Blends as emcee, Eric Q’s Family Magic Show, Pan Evolution Steel Orchestra, and La Troupe Zetwal. Interactive experiences include creative workshops in Art Zone led by JCAL Teaching Artists, face painting, caricature portraits, the “Super YOU!” comic strip and costume-making station, and cultural art-making activities exploring identity and global traditions. The festival’s Game Zone offers additional fun with lawn and tabletop games, mini-golf, a photo booth, and classic treats like popcorn and cotton candy.
