Safely Dispose of Unwanted Documents at Ridgewood Savings Bank's Free Shred Event at the Hollis Branch: 205-11 Hillside Ave., Hollis, NY
RIDGEWOOD, N.Y. (July 21, 2023) – In its ongoing efforts to protect customers’ private information and to help prevent identity theft, Ridgewood Savings Bank (“Ridgewood”) invites the public to a free document shredding event to be held at its Hollis Branch on Friday, July 21st, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Ridgewood is offering this service at no cost to members of the local community. As part of this initiative, participants are encouraged to bring up to five boxes of sensitive documents (e.g., paper files, old bills, and cancelled checks) to the Hollis Branch, located at 205-11 Hillside Avenue in Hollis, so that the documents can be shred and disposed of securely.
Ridgewood’s document shredding events complement other meaningful protective options offered to its customers. In addition to Fraud Text Alerts, customers can prevent unauthorized transactions by “turning off” their debit card with the Card Controls tool.
