Teen Strangled Unconscious On Subway In Queens, Attacker Sought: NYPD

Police are looking for a man accused of strangling a 17-year-old subway rider after an argument on a northbound A train.

QUEENS, NY — An unknown man strangled a 17-year-old until he lost consciousness on a northbound A train from Queens earlier this month, New York City police said as they seek tips on the man's identity.

Police said that man approached the victim while the train was at the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue station, on Nov. 9 around 3:50 p.m.

The two got into an argument, and the suspect then strangled the teen and caused him to lose consciousness, according to the NYPD.

As the victim left the train, the suspect remained on board to travel to an unknown destination, police said. First responders took the teen to an area hospital in stable condition, officials added.

Police described the person in question as "a male with light complexion, bald, approximately 30-40 years old." Officials said he was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, with dark pants and orange boots.
