• Son Who Stabbed Mother 40X On Mother's Day Shot Dead By Officers: Police (patch.com) — Quogue Village police were among several agencies who rushed to a horrific Mother’s Day stabbing in nearby Northampton, where officers fatally shot a man as he attacked his mother. Investigators from the state Attorney General’s Office and Suffolk County are now reviewing the shooting, while the victim is being treated for serious injuries at Stony Brook University Hospital.
