2 Men Shot In Riverhead: Police
They say that they were approached by two strangers and shot during an altercation, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Two males were shot in Riverhead Friday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a call came in at 8:54 p.m. from Peconic Bay Medical Center about two males in the emergency room who were being treated for gunshot wounds.
The pair said that they had been approached on Ostrander Avenue near Middle Road by two unknown males; a physical altercation ensued and they were shot, police said. Both were treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
