3 Men Rob Suffolk Gas Station: Police
The robbers hit an attendant over the head with a metal object, stole cash and fled in a van, police said.
JAMESPORT, NY — Three men robbed a Jamesport gas station Sunday night, police said.
Oscar N. Norrega Mayen, 21, and Ludwin G. Perez, 21, both of Flanders, were arrested and charged with first-degree robbery. The third suspect was still at large as of late Sunday night.
According to the Riverhead police, at 8:51 p.m., the men entered the Valero gas station at the corner of Route 25 and South Jamesport Avenue, hit the attendant with a metal object and stole cash from the register.

The men fled in a two-tone Chevrolet work van, heading south on South Jamesport Avenue and then west onto Peconic Bay Boulevard, police said. The van was later located crashed into a building on a private driveway on Meeting House Road.
Norrega Mayan and Perez were arrested by Riverhead police as they fled from the van, authorities said. The third man could not be located, police said.

The gas station attendant was treated for a head and arm injury at Peconic Bay Medical Center and released, police said.
A Southampton Village Police K-9 unit found evidence at the crash scene and cash stolen during the robbery, police said.
