Big-Hearted Cops Take Kids Christmas Shopping In Riverhead
It's one of the most magical events of the year for Southampton Town Police officers and all involved in making holiday memories for kids.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Local police officers and other members of the community helped share the true meaning of the holiday with local families who need a helping hand this holiday season.
In what's become a beloved annual tradition, Southampton Town Police, New York State Police, Southampton Village Police, Southampton Town Police Explorers, and HUGS Inc. took a group children from Southampton Town shopping at Target in Riverhead.
Next, they all enjoyed dinner by Salvatore’s of the Hamptons in Hampton Bays and Panera Bread in Riverhead. Donations for the event were garnered from Target, the Southampton Town Patrolmans Benevolent Association, and the Southampton Town Superior Officers Association — all with an eye toward making the children’s holiday shopping spree even greater.
