My Assembly office is, once again, accepting applications for the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators scholarships. The group will award four $1,500 scholarships, two academic and two athletic.
Eligible applicants can be high school students planning to attend college in the fall, current undergraduate students or graduate students and must reside in the 1st Assembly district. You do not have to be of Italian descent to apply.
Completed applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30 at my district office in Riverhead. Applications will be evaluated based on a student’s academic and athletic achievements, as well as extracurricular activities, community service and financial need.
