Call for Artists:  Miniatures Theme

for Annual Member's Show at East End Arts Council

Riverhead, NY (November 22, 2010)— The East End Arts Council's all-media, non-juried Annual Members' Show will take place January 14 – February 25, 2011. In keeping with our theme for the year, Art & Passion, Year of the Collector, 2011 we're launching with charming, affordable, very collectable  'Miniatures' Member's Show.  One entry is accepted per member plus an additional $10 fee; artists may join the East End Arts Council at the time of submission. Annual memberships start at $35 for seniors and $50 for individuals. All media, including painting, drawing, mixed media and sculpture are welcome. An Artists' reception will be held on Friday, January 14 from 5-7 PM, the public is warmly welcomed.

CALENDAR: All work must be dropped off in person at the EEAC Gallery, 133 E. Main Street, Riverhead, NY.

Drop-off begins Thursday, January 6 and continues through Saturday, January 8

Drop-off hours are 10AM to 4PM

Opening Reception, January 14 from 5-7 PM and runs through February 25

PRESENTATION: All miniatures submissions must be wired for hanging, and wire must be completely hidden when work is hung. Paintings and photos with a clean, gallery edge are acceptable unframed.

SIZE REQUIREMENTS: The smaller the better, but no 2D art over 12" in any direction (including frame). To qualify as a miniature, sculptures need to be even smaller—8" tall by 8" wide or less (please provide pedestal).
