Family Service League's (FSL) Caregiver Support Program provides loved ones of the elderly with on-going support and information services. FSL will offer a free presentation for caregivers who are concerned about the costs of care for their loved one as well as what their financial responsibility could be in that regard. J. Kevin McLaughlin, Esq., will present "Paying for Care" on January 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverhead Free Library. He will address such topics as Medicaid eligibility, protecting assets, new laws related to power of attorney, trusts, proxies, and rights.
