Secrets of the Stinking Rose, a Garlic Workshop

Please join the Peconic Land Trust for a workshop on planting and harvesting garlic in the home garden.  Most vegetable gardens are planted in the Spring, when soil begins to warm and frost is gone.  The stinking rose, also known as garlic, is one exception to that rule.  Meet Denise Markut, the Trust's North Fork Stewardship Manager, in the barn at Charnews Farm for a fun and informative talk about prepping and planting garlic now for next year's fabulous harvest!  $5/person, reservations requested, program is rain or shine.
