LONG ISLAND, NY — In a soaring tribute to front-line heroes, the New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing, based out of Westhampton's Francis S. Gabreski Airport, will conduct a flyover salute for health care workers, first responders and essential employees on Friday — and now, an expanded flight path has been released that includes a long list of local hospitals.

The will flyover begins at noon at the ANG base at Gabreski Airport, an update on the 106th Rescue Wing's Facebook page said.

"This gesture, from the men and women of your New York Air National Guard’s 106th Rescue Wing, is intended to salute everyone working hard in this fight against COVID-19," the update reads. "Wherever you are out there doing your part, this is for you."
