Homeless Woman Missing, Family Worried
Her family has not seen or heard from the woman in several days, and that's out of character, police say.

SOUTH JAMESPORT, NY — A homeless woman with ties to Riverhead, Patchogue and Port Jefferson Station has been missing for several days, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department has asked for the public's help to locate Shannon M. Sypher, 36; she is described as white, 5' tall, 130 lbs. with blue eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a pink T-shirt and white sneakers, police said.
Her family has not seen or heard from Sypher in several days, which is out of character, they said.

Sypher is currently homeless but has used a family residence on Tutts Lane in South Jamesport in the past, police said. She has been known to frequent the Riverhead, Patchogue and Port Jefferson Station areas, police said.
Anyone with information or who has located Sypher is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.
