Man Burglarizes Riverhead Restaurant: Cops

A Ridge man was arrested on Thursday for burglarizing a Riverhead restaurant earlier this month, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Wayne S. Conklin, 44, was charged with third degree burglary at about 9:50 a.m., police said.
On Dec. 4, Conklin forcibly broke into Jerry and the Mermaids causing several thousand dollars in damage to the bar area and fled on foot with assorted alcoholic beverages, police said.

Conklin was arraigned Tuesday morning and remanded to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility, held without bail.
