Man Shot to Death in Parked Car in Riverside

Police are investigating the shooting death of a Riverhead man that occurred in Riverside on Tuesday night.

Southampton Town Police and New York State Police responded to a 911 call of shots fired at 185E Old Quogue Road at 9:37 p.m.

Upon arrival, 27-year-old Thomas Lacolla was found shot to death in a parked 2005 Mercedes Benz outside the home, according to police.

Lacolla, of Northville Turnpike, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Homicide Squad detectives at 631-852-6394 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
