Man Who Damaged Volunteer Firefighter's Vehicle Arrested: Cops

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Hampton Bays man has been charged with damaging a Riverhead volunteer firefighter's vehicle, police said.
According to Riverhead Police, Carlos Humberto Regalado-Ramos, 22, of Hampton Bays was arrested Monday and charged with second degree criminal mischief, a felony; the arrest stems from an incident that occurred on Sept. 29 at the Riverhead Fire Department, located at 540 Roanoke Ave., where a vehicle was damaged, police said.
Ramos was processed and held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.

According to the Riverhead Police Department, the Riverhead Volunteer firefighter's vehicle, which was parked at the Riverhead Fire Department headquarters on Sept. 28, was damaged while he was on duty during the overnight hours.
At 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 29, Regalado-Ramos allegedly approached the vehicle and caused extensive damage to the passenger side of his 2010 Dodge Ram pickup by striking the vehicle with a bat; he then left the area, police said.
