A Riverhead juvenile was arrested on Jan. 6 at Riverhead High School on charges of criminal mischief in the third degree. According to reports, the juvenile was observed by Assistant Principal Michael Hugelmeyer damaging a classroom desk, a wall panel, and two garbage cans, valued at $661. The juvenile was uncooperative and aggressive toward the officer upon arrival. Hugelmeyer filled out a civilian's arrest form, and the juvenile was arrested, transported to headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment.

Leopoldo Santino, 34, of Riverhead, was arrested on Jan. 9 on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree. He was processed and released on station house bail.

Dr. Bellamy Brook reported on Jan. 11 that two 100-page prescription pads had been stolen from his office on E. Main Street. According to police reports, Brook received calls from two pharmacies reporting incidents of prescriptions for oxycodone - a schedule II narcotic - which appear to be fraudulently filled out. At a St. James pharmacy, Kieth Quattrone, of Manorville, presented the prescription while Antonio Dellipizzi of Mastic Beach presented the prescription at a Lake Ronkonkoma pharmacy. According to video surveillance, Dellipizzi was seen leaving the pharmacy in a vehicle belonging to Steven Rickert of Mastic Beach. After checking his records, Brook did not have any records of writing the reported prescriptions. He informed the Drug Enforcement Agency and New York State Department of Health of the incident.
