Police: Woman Arrested After Dog Stolen From Riverhead Apartment
The incident occurred Tuesday evening.

A Riverhead woman has been arrested in connection to an incident in which a dog was stolen from a local apartment on Tuesday evening, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Police received a report of a burglary at an apartment at the Fairfield Pines apartment complex on 1750 West Main Street by the Tanger Outlet Mall at about 6:10 p.m., police said.
It was reported that unknown person entered the apartment and removed a female Yorkshire terrier from inside, according to police.

During the course of the investigation conducted by the Riverhead Police Detective Division, the dog was found in good health and 59-year-old Erin Kutur was placed under arrest, police said.
Kutur was transported to the Riverhead Police Department, where she was processed on a charge of fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

She was later released on an appearance ticket with a future court date.
