Riverhead Country Fair Comes To Town Sunday
Event features a full day of fun activities.

On Sunday, scores of residents will head to Riverhead for a yearly tradition, as the 37th Annual Riverhead Country Fair unfolds.
Spearheaded this year by new organizer Patrick Mulcahy and longtime fair orchestrator James Lull, the expansive fair, affectionately dubbed "the little block party," held on Columbus Day weekend in downtown Riverhead, celebates Riverhead's agricultural heritage, with visitors and vendors from across the country coming to display their wares.
Visitors can enjoy agricultural, homemaking and needlecraft competitions, vegetable decorating contests, folk music and crafts, original artwork, authors, entertainers, local mercants, foods, amusements, pony rides, business expositions and displays, farm animals and traffic pulls, and over 450 vendors.

The fair, which covers over 100,000 squre feet, the is a massive coordinated effort by many, including a fair committee, volunteers, government officials, police, ambulance, fire and highway departments, local merchants, the Riverhead Public Library, the Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts, scores of local sponsors, the Suffolk County Historical Society, and many more.
