Here are the top three stories today in Riverhead:
- Riverhead residents enjoyed Memorial Day festivities on Monday, including the annual Memorial Day parade. Local marching bands, Scouts, firefighters, veterans, and more came out in observance of the holiday that honors fallen service members. (Riverhead News Review)
- Local police have charged two men with grand larceny for stealing from the Home Depot on Old Country Rd. The incident occurred last Tuesday, around 1:00 p.m. Jermaine Stevens, age 47, of Riverhead, and Mitchell Edens, age 57, of Moriches, were arrested in connection with the incident. (Daily Voice)
- Artists of all ages joined in at the 26th annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival on Sunday. The event, which took place on East Main St., encouraged attendees to participate by creating their own street chalk art. Photos from the event can be seen on Patch. (Riverhead Patch)
