RIVERHEAD, NY — The search is on for a missing girl, 16, from Riverhead, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding Elayna Davender, who is Black, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 140 lbs., with a medium complexion, brown eyes, and red curly dyed hair, police said.

Elayna left her home on August 28; no foul play is suspected, police said.
