Search On For Two Teen Runaways From Riverhead

RIVERHEAD, NY — The search is on for two teen runaways from Riverhead, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two teens who they say ran away from the Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch.

Justin Melott, a 14-year-old Hispanic male, ran away on May 2 at 4 p.m.; Justin is, 5-feet, 3-inches tall, 140 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes and a light complexion, police said. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Christoper Ellis, 17, also ran away on May 2 at 4 p.m. He is white, 6-feet tall, 265 lbs., with green eyes, brown hair and a light complexion, police said. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

Both left on their own accord; no foul play is suspected, police said.
