Store Employees Menaced With Stun Gun: Cops

The juvenile male, who was arrested, also stole $782 worth of merchandise from the Stop & Shop, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A juvenile was arrested Thursday after an investigation involving $782 of goods that were stolen from a Riverhead supermarket on July 24, police said.

The arrest was made by the Riverhead Police Department's community oriented policing enforcement division regarding the theft from the Stop & Shop on Old Country Road, police said.

The juvenile male returned to the store on July 26 and menaced store employees with a stun gun before leaving, police said.

He was processed at Riverhead Police headquarters and released to his parent, police said.
