Teen Charged With Attempted Robbery In Riverhead: Cops
The second individual remains at large; the duo demanded two residents "empty their pockets" during the robbery attempt, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A 16-year old has been arrested and charged with the attempted robbery of two men at their Riverhead apartment Friday night, police said.
According to the Riverhead Police Department, 16-year old Alexander Maldonado was arrested, charged with two counts of second degree attempted robbery, processed, and held for arraignment.
The second individual remains at large, police said.

During the incident, the pair of thieves demanded that two men "empty their pockets" in Riverhead, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 8:43 p.m. on Roanoke Avenue; authorities were called to a home regarding a dispute.

Two men reported that two males approached them at the residence to make the demand, but they were able to run into their home and call police, authorities said.
The two men fled in a green vehicle, police said.
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information, or possible identification of the second individual, is asked to contact Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
