Woman Robbed At Knifepoint In Bank Parking Lot: Cops
He brandished a knife and demanded her pocketbook, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A woman was robbed at knifepoint in the parking lot of a Riverhead bank Friday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 6:03 p.m. in the Chase Bank parking lot on Peconic Avenue. A 63-year-old woman reported parking her vehicle in the Chase Bank parking lot while she went inside the branch to complete a transaction, police said.
When she got back into her vehicle, she was accosted by an unknown male who displayed a knife and demanded her pocketbook; she gave him the purse, which contained cash and her cellphone, police said.

The male then fled westbound through the parking lot with the victim's pocketbook, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
