Woman Whose Body Was Found On LI 'Tentatively' Identified
Official identification is pending DNA analysis, police say. A jogger found the woman's body last week.
MANORVILLE, NY — A woman whose body was found in a wooded area in Manorville on July 30 has been tentatively identified and her family has been notified by Suffolk County Police, homicide squad detectives, officials said.
Official identification, however, is pending DNA analysis, police said. The woman was a resident of the area, police said.
An autopsy was completed and no signs of injury were detected; detectives are continuing their investigation to determine the woman’s cause of death and the circumstances surrounding her death, police said.

A home health aide visiting a resident of Villas at North Pine Hills was jogging when he discovered the woman on the ground just east of Winding Path and called 911 at 10:43 a.m on July 30, Suffolk County police said.
The woman was pronounced dead by a physician's assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.
