4 Arrested On Thruway For Drug Possession: Police
Probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established by police.

ARDSLEY, NY — Four people were arrested on a variety of drug charges after being stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation. State police said, around 5:02 p.m. Dec. 5, troopers stopped a car driven by Joshua D. Allen, 25, of Augusta, Maine, on I-87 in the Village of Ardsley.
During an interview with him, police said probable cause was established to search the vehicle and its occupants.
A search of his passengers — Kayla L. Obrien, 25, of Chelsea, Maine; Anisha N. Lockhart, 23, of Oneida, and Aaron J. Basemore, 27, of New York City — yielded 19.78 grams of marijuana, a syringe containing heroin, a glass smoking device containing burnt crack residue and about 194.02 grams of ketamine.

All four were taken into custody and processed at the Tarrytown barracks on the following charges:
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with intent to sell, a felony (Bazemore only)
- Four-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony (all four)
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony (Allen, Obrien, Lockhart)
- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor (Obrien only)
- Unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation (Allen, Bazemore)
- Second-degree criminal use of drug parphernalia, a misdemeanor (Allen, Obrien, Bazemore)
- Vehicle and traffic violations (Allen only)
All four people were arraigned in the Village of Ardsley Court and sent to Westchester County Jail.

Allen and Obrien were sent to jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond; Bazemore and Lockhart, in lieu of $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond.
