The Westchester County Genealogical Society welcomes Joe Buggy with a talk on Researching Irish Ancestors in New York City on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10am. The meeting will take place at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 600 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry which is across from Mercy College on route 9.
Joe Buggy is a professional genealogist from county Kilkenny, Ireland who currently resides in NYC. He holds a BA in Irish History & Politics and an MA in Applied Social Research from the University of Limerick. He has previously worked as an historical tour guide at heritage sites in Ireland, as a sociologist at Trinity College Dublin and as a college professor at Carlow Institute of Technology. Presently, Joe works with clients tracing their Irish ancestry, in addition to proving a range of genealogical services. He is a member of the APG.
