The Westchester County Genealogical Society will be holding A Celebration of Westchester County Genealogical Society 30th Year on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10am. The meeting will take place at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 600 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry which is across from Mercy College on route 9.

Westchester County Genealogical Society was formed in the Fall of 1982 to bring together people who are interested in searching their family roots. While many things have changed, WCGS mission to bring together people interested in tracing their ancestry is still the same. The means of finding information has changed from paper to microfilms to computers but the approach is still the same. WCGS helps people to get started, to realize what information is available online versus at an office, and to find out new resources.
