Genealogical Meeting - What Happened to Old Put?

The Westchester County Genealogical Society welcomes back Joe Schiavone with a talk on The Last of the Old Put - New York Central's Putnam Division on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10am. The meeting will take place at the Aldersgate Methodist Church, 600 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry which is across from Mercy College on rte 9.
 
Joe Schiavone, railroad historian and author of two books – “The Old Put” and "More of The Old Put" will takes us on an unforgettable COLOR trip on the Old Put on recently discovered footage of the railroad from the winter of 1945 into the '50s, '60s and even the '70s. His new book "Last of the Old Put" will be available for purchase at the program. This beautiful all new hard covered book and two color DVDs will be available for $29.95 only the day of the program. You don't have to be a train enthusiast to enjoy this multi-media presentation.
 
WCGS regularly presents speakers on genealogical topics at its monthly meeting on the 2nd Saturday each month. WCGS welcomes all interested in searching their family roots. Guests are warmly welcome. There will be refreshments & genealogical networking starting at 9:30am.
