Help Stop Invasives (and have lunch with a Goat)

As part of Earth month, on Thursday April 28, the Saw Mill River Coalition and Greenburgh Nature Center will be sponsoring an Invasive Vine Action Workshop. The workshop will be held from 10-2pm at Westchester Manor Hall in Hastings on Hudson. It is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served to registered participants. The goal of the workshop is to bring community members, DOT, government officials, environmentalists and landscapers together to help develop a long-term action plan to eradicate the dangerous vines that are choking our trees and destroying native habitat. The workshop will include a visit to a restoration site, speakers on new management techniques, and a visit from the Greenburgh Nature Center’s goats, a new tool in eradicating invasive vines. To RSVP call 914-375-2151 or email
