KEEPING YOUR FAMILY FILES UNDER CONTROL!

 The Westchester County Genealogical Society welcomes Janice Parker with a talk on Controlling Your Genealogy Computer Files on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10am. The meeting will take place at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 600 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry which is across from Mercy College on route 9.

   Janice Parker has a B.A. in English and a Masters Degree in Computer Science.  Genealogy has been her passion for nearly 7 years, She performs genealogical research for clients in repositories all over the Hudson Valley. Parker is a member of Toastmasters international holding the designation of Distinguished Toastmaster. This discussion will revolve around controlling the many genealogical files every genealogist has.  Parker will also discuss the backup options currently available for the genealogical researcher so that they do not lose all the important information they have accumulate over the years.

   WCGS regularly presents speakers on genealogical topics at its monthly meeting on the 2nd Saturday each month. WCGS welcomes all interested in searching their family roots. Guests are warmly welcome. There will be refreshments & genealogical networking starting at 9:30am.
