YONKERS, NY — A fugitive sexual assault suspect on the run for months has been nabbed by federal agents in Westchester County.

The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force says that it apprehended 28-year-old Dijani Brown, in Yonkers. The New York resident was wanted for sexually assaulting two Pennsylvania girls under the age of 16.

Authorities say that on October 12, Brown assaulted a 13 year-old girl in Manor Township, Lancaster County, and then assaulted a 14 year-old girl in Horsham Township, Montgomery County, on Oct. 14.

After Brown failed to surrended to Horsham police, members of the U.S. Marshals New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force and investigators from the Marshals Task Force in Philadelphia captured Brown at a home in Yonkers. He was found staying with a family member and arrested without incident.

Brown was taken to the Westchester County jail where he awaits extradition to Pennsylvania.

"The arrest of Dijani Brown removes a sexual predator from the community and underscores the seriousness with which the Marshal Service treats warrants involving children," Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, said.
