Irvington Seventh-Graders Learn to Use Microscopes, Make Observations
Students saw that things were flipped upside down.
IRVINGTON, NY - Seventh-graders in Nicole Arvanites’ Irvington Middle School science class recently learned how to use the microscope and make proper scientific observations with it.
As part of their lesson, the students demonstrated how to use and focus a microscope from a lower to a higher power objective lens. They also had to determine what happens to the image of a specimen when it is observed under the microscope.
