We thank the Mercy College sports information department for the below submissions of its Feb. 18 contests:

The Mercy College men's basketball team defeated ECC opponent Queens College, 60-54, in Queens. Junior Joseph Pope led the Mavericks with 17 points on 8-9 shooting, and sophomore Chaz Morrish dished out a career-high six assists.

Mercy women's hoops

The Mercy College women's basketball team defeated Queens College, 70-60, to complete both a season and day sweep of the ECC rival. Senior Jasmine Williams led the game with 23 points.

Swimming:

In the SUNYAC swimming championships from the 9th through the 11th, Katie Flood (H '10) of the Oswego Lakers and her 200 Freestyle Relay team finished 6th, clocked at 2:41.06, while her 400 Freestyle Relay quartet finished 5th, with a time of 4:06.41, on the 9th.

Her 800 Freestyle Relay foursome was 10th, with a time of 8:10.43 Flood was 10th in the 200 Breaststroke, clocked at 2:37.86, and she finished 16th in the 200 Breast finale, with a time of 2:36.66. Oswego finished 7th in the championship, with a total of 219 points.

Swimming for The College of New Rochelle, Rita Saad (Irv. '11) competed in both the 100 Back and 100 Breast strokes in the final meet of the season, on 1/28 ,with her time in the 100 Back being 2:06.04, plus 2:16.25 in the 100 Breast at 2:16.25, and in the 200 Medley Relay, her foursome had a clocking of 4:17.63. In the season, the team had a record of 1-6.
