Two-time defending state champion Irvington won in the opening round of the Class B state regional girls basketball playoffs 79-36 against Highland at the Westchester County Center in White Plains March 6.

College News from Dick Miller
Fencing:
Audra Fox (Irv. '11), freshman fencer for N.Y.U, at the Junior Olympics in Salt Lake City, took 29th and made the top 32. She hopes to compete in the regional meet in Boston on the 11th, despite having torn her tendon and muscle.
Basketball:
In the opening round of the NCAA Division 2 tournament at Oswego, the Eastern Ct. Warriors topped Medaille, 66-51, as Nick Nedwick (Irv. '09) led all players in 2 categories, as he had a game high of 15 points, plus the same in steals, with 3, and also had 3 boards and 1 assist in the win.
