The Mercy College women's lacrosse team was picked to finish fourth in the nine-team ECC this spring, the ECC office officially announced today (Feb. 10).

Mercy men's lacrosse

Below is the link detailing the ECC preseason poll for the 2012 Men's Lacrosse season.

The Mercy College Mavericks were picked to finish fifth, while junior goalkeeper T.J. DiCarlo (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was named the preseason Defensive Player of the Year. A video announcing the preseason poll is available within the press release.

College News from Dick Miller

Track & Field:

In a triangular meet at home on the 8th with Fordham and Southern Connecticut , Sarah Moore (Irv. '09) of Manhattan, finished 3rd in the women's Triple Jump, with a leap of 33'4.75".

Fencing:

In a four school fencing meet at Columbia on the 8th, the N.Y.U. Violets topped Vassar, 18-9 and Sacred Heart, 17-10, and then lost to the hosts, 25-2. Audra Fox (Ards. '11) and a teammate led the Violets with 7-2 results, and now the N.Y. U. record on the season is 12-14.
