Another employee in the kitchen tried to intervene and was threatened but not injured, according to authorities.
Rodriquez was taken to Westchester County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The owner of the River City Grille — Bobby Manzi — set up a fundraising page to help Rodriquez’s family. He said the money raised will initially go toward funeral expenses, but anything more will go toward care of his two daughters.
