Today (Feb. 6), the East Coast Conference announced that Mercy College men’s basketball junior guard Colin Senior (Hackensack, N.J.) was tabbed to the Week Twelve - Player of the Week Honor Roll for his 47-point performance over two contests this week.

Mercy women's hoops

The Mercy College women's basketball team fell to Dominican (N.Y.) College tonight (Feb. 6), 75-55. Senior Talia Beaulieu continued an incredible week in which she garnered ECC Player of the Week Honor Roll accolades, leading the team with 17 points, eight rebounds and five steals.

SWIMMING:

At the non-scoring Wheaton Invitational on the 3rd, Cara  Morris (Irv. '11) and her 400 Medley Relay team was 6th, with a time of 4:22.30, while the 400 Freestyle Relay foursome, with her as the anchor, finished 7th, clocked at 3:53.47.

On the 4th, her 200 Medley Relay quartet were 5th, with a time of 1:56.37, while in the Backstroke, Morris finished 8th, with a time of 1:05.87, she was 16th in the 50 Freestyle event, in 26:88, and her 200 Freestyle Relay foursome had a clocking of 1:48.98 and 9th place in that one.

In a 163-135 loss to Mt. Holyoke, Jenny Prince (A'08) of Smith and her 200 Medley Relay quartet finished 3rd, with a time of 2:09.18, while in the 200 Backstroke, she was 5th, with a clockng of 2:34.24. Her 400 Freestyle Relay  team was 6th, in 4:3.81, with the record thus far 3-3.

On Feb. 3rd and 4th at Middlebury, four teams competed in the hosts ' Invitational, including Williams, which finished 2nd, with 35 points. The Ephs' Kathryn Ha (Dobbs Ferry-Hackley '09) and her 200 Medley Relay team finished 5th, with their time of 1:54.37, while in the 100 Freestyle, she was 2nd, clocked at 59.2. She was 8th in the Backstroke, in 1:03.5, 9th in the 100 Freestyle, in 55.85, and her 400 Freestyle Relay foursome were 2nd, in 3:49.10

At the U. Of Minnesota challenge 2/3 and 4, Jesse Gourevitch (Ards. '10) had season's best times in the 100 Breaststroke, 1:01.70 , as he finished 26th in the event, and also in the 200 Breaststroke, where he was 15th, with a time of  2:26.98. It was a non-scoring meet.
