Sentence For String Of Westchester Burglaries
The man pleaded guilty to three counts of felony second-degree burglary.

A Cortlandt Manor man who pleaded guilty to a string of burglaries in Westchester was sentenced to prison Wednesday. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Julian Montgomery, 28, of Cortlandt Manor, was sentenced to eight years in prison for each of three counts of second-degree burglary, felonies. The terms will run concurrently.
He pleaded guilty to the charges in March.
Scarpino said, during the summer of 2018, there was a series of burglaries were committed in Arsdley and Edgemont in the Town of Greenburgh and other parts of Westchester.

Investigators said there were similarities in the incidents.
The DA and Greenburgh police began an investigation in August based on a vehicle seen near multiple crime scenes.

By tracking Montgomery's cars, police followed him to a New Castle residence Sept. 18 and saw him running from the house with a bag of jewelry in his hand. He was arrested near the scene.
Further investigation led to the execution of search warrants at Montgomery's residence in Cortlandt Manor, his vehicles and a rented storage unit.
Recovered stolen property was identified by various burglary victims around the county.
During the investigation, it was found that Montgomery committed burglaries in Greenburgh, New Castle and Bronxville.
