Mercy College senior Jasmine Williams scored her 1,000th career point in tonight's (Feb. 15) women's basketball loss to UDC, 73-51.  She becomes the 18th Maverick to reach the historic milestone.

Here is the release and game recap for tonight’s (Feb. 15) victory by the University of the District of Columbia over Mercy College, 111-68, in East Coast Conference men’s basketball action.

Fencing:

Epee wielder Peter Cohen (Irv.-Hackley '10) and the Yale fencing team competed in the Ivy League Championship on the 12th, and finished 5th. At the Conclusion, Cohen received 2nd Team All-Ivy Honors for his performance in the event.

Track:

At the non-scoring Valentine's Invitational at Boston U., two former Rivertowns runners competed - Patrick Wortner (D.F.'09), in the men's 5,000 , and Julian Saliani (Irv. '10), in the 3,000. Wortner finished 49th out of 78 runners, clocked at 15:09.27, and Saliani was 76th of 103 competitors, with a time of 8:46.52 .

At the Millrose Games in N.Y., Sarah Moore (Irv. '10) of Manhattan finished in a tie for 6th place with a teammate in the pole vault, with a height of 3.35 meters.
