252 Batteries Stolen from School Buses in Oceanside
About $25,000 worth of parts stolen, cops said.
Nassau Police are searching for thieves who stole 252 batteries from school buses parked in Oceanside this month.
Detectives said that between April 9 and Thursday, someone entered the Baumann Bus Company storage lot and stole batteries from 84 school buses.
The total cost of the missing batteries is about $25,000, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the thefts to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
