Man Picked Up For Oceanside Bank Robbery: Police

OCEANSIDE, NY — A man robbed an Oceanside bank on Sunday morning, police said.

Just before noon, Joseph Dahmen, 38, of Long Beach, entered the TD Bank on 247 Long Beach Rd., approached a female teller and demanded money in a note, detectives said.

The teller complied and Dahmen fled on foot, according to authorities.

An investigation, with assistance from the Long Beach Police Department, place Dahmen under arrest without incident, detectives said.

He is charged with third-degree robbery and was scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
