Nassau Man Wanted For Fatal Hit-And-Run Arrested In Pennsylvania
Police say Joshua Roston turned himself into police in Philadelphia because of the pressure put on him.

Nassau County police say that the Baldwin man wanted for allegedly running over and killing a gas station manager earlier this week has been arrested in Pennsylvania.
Police say that Joshua E. Roston, 33, turned himself in to authorities in Philadelphia late Thursday night. Police are currently working on extricating him back to Nassau County.
At a press conference Friday afternoon, Nassau County officials said it was the pressure from having his face and name broadcasted in the media that made Roston turn himself in. According to District Attorney Madeline Singas, he is facing a charge of intentional murder, which carries a sentence of 25 years to life, as well as charges for leaving the scene.

Police say that, of Baldwin, ran over and killed Cemal Dagdeviren, 59, of Levittown on Monday morning.
According to police, Roston pulled into the Pit Stop gas station, located at 1210 Grand Ave. in South Hempstead, just before 7:20 a.m. and asked the attendant to fill up his car. The employees became suspicious because his car had no license plates or registration sticker. They stopped filling his car after putting $22 worth of gas into it and asked him to pull aside.

Police say that Roston told Dagdeviren that he would pay with a credit card, which police say was a fake. Dagdeviren told him to pay with cash, but the man said he didn't have any, despite showing a $50 bill to the attendant earlier.
Roston then tried to leave the station, police say, and Dagdeviren tried to stop him. He got in front of Roston's car, and then Roston ran him over on purpose, police say.
