Serial Bank Robber Strikes Again: Nassau Police

Robert Davidson was charged with multiple bank robberies in 2014. Police say he just robbed a bank in Rockville Centre this week.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Nassau County police arrested a Rockville Centre man on Monday whom they say robbed a bank in the village earlier in the day.

According to police, Robert Davidson, 63, of Yale Avenue, Rockville Centre, entered the TD Bank at 290 Merrick Road at noon. Police say he handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave Davidson cash, police say, and he fled on foot with the money. No one was injured.

The police investigation led them to Davidson. He was arrested at his home without incident.

Davidson was charged with third-degree robbery, and is scheduled to be arraigned later today.

Davidson has previously been arrested for other bank robberies. In 2014, he was arrested and charged with robbing a bank in Merrick, one in Garden City and two in Rockville Centre.
