BREAKING: Police say officers saw them commit the crime and quickly arrested them.

Two teens from Baldwin were arrested by Nassau police Thursday night after police say they caught them mugging two other teens.

Officers from the Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team were on patrol in Baldwin at 9:40 p.m. Thursday. Police say the officers saw Jeremy Durocher, 17, of Central Avenue, robbing two pedestrians, a 16- and 17-year-old boys, in front of 1770 Grand Ave. According to police, Durocher got into a waiting car being driven by Jackenson Smith, 17, of Linden Avenue, and fled the scene. The police officers stopped the car and placed the two teens under arrest.

Police say a set of keys and an unknown amount of cash were taken from the two victims, who were uninjured.
