County Exec Candidates Trade Accusations
One allegation involved unpaid parking tickets; the other, an expensive Rolex.

RYE, NY — The campaign for Westchester county executive continues with back and forth allegations. A revelation that state Senator George Latimer, D-Rye, had unpaid parking tickets in Yonkers, White Plains and Port Chester was matched by an accusation that Republican County Executive Robert Astorino had received help paying for an expensive Rolex watch from a campaign donor.
In response, Latimer said he has paid $1,400 in parking tickets and that most of the money was for penalties on the fines, the Journal News said.
Astorino’s campaign spokesman, William O’Reilly, said the county executive did nothing wrong, call it “total contrived nonsense,” FIOS1 News said.
