Author Steve Rosenfield at the Rye Library

Meet author Steve Rosenfield at the Rye Free Reading Room on December 12 at 1 pm.  His new limited edition book-with-CD, co-created with Michael "Eppy" Epstein, Fun & Dangerous:  Unseen Tales, Unseen Photos and Unearthed Music from My Father's Place 1975-1980. 

Located in Roslyn, Long Island, the club called My Father's Place presented more than 6000 shows featuring over 3000 diverse and aspiring artists from 1971 until 1987 and was the premier venue for local talent and an essential tour stop for established national acts.  During its prolific era, the owner "Eppy" presented an unmatched and unforgettable range of talent in diverse genres including rock, jazz, fusion, country, punk, soul, reggae, folk and comedy.  Among the performers who appeared at My Father's Place were Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Billy Joes, The Police, Talking Heads, George Carlin, James Brown, Stanley Clarke, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Burning Spear, Charlie Daniels, Billy Crystal, Linda Ronstadt and Rick Derringer.
