Computer Classes at the Rye Library

The Rye Free Reading Room will inaugurate the library's new Nicholas and Christina Raho Technology Center this fall with a series of free classes on using computers.  Each topic will be presented twice, on a Tuesday at 10 a.m. and a Thursday at 7 p.m. The first subject, "Organizing Your Window Files." will be covered on September 7 and 23,  "Getting Started with Microsoft Word" on September 21 and October 14, and "Getting Started with Microsoft Excel" on October 12 and 28.

The teacher, Diane McKeever, has been a software trainer in the United States and Europe for more than 20 years and is a "Certified Patient Person."  As a consultant for many major corporations, she has had the opportunity to work individually with senior executives, in large seminar settings and with smaller classroom groups, and is known for presenting new material in a fun, easy-to-understand way.

Registration is required to attend the classes.  Please sign up at the library or call 231-3161.  For more information about the classes, go to www.ryelibrary.org.
